Congratulations to all those involved in the 2008 Playtex MoonWalk! This year’s event was an enormous success and Walk the Walk would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who took part, volunteered, or supported our walkers.
15,000 women and men braved the chilly night in their bras to raise money for vital breast cancer causes. Walk the Walk are hoping to raise more than £6million from this one night. Money which will make a significant contribution in the battle against breast cancer and to the quality of life for many cancer patients.
As ever, this year’s walkers went to some amazing lengths to decorate their bras, and with the theme of Bollywood meets Rock n Roll, there were some stunning results! Take a look at our event images for some of the highlights from the evening.
Walk the Walk Founder and CEO, Nina Barough: “On behalf of the entire Walk the Walk team I would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who was involved in the 2008 Playtex MoonWalk! A special thank you to all our sponsors, media partners, hosts and celebrity walkers, and a really big hug to our team of invaluable Volunteers without which the night could not happen, we are so lucky to have so much fantastic support!"
Registration will open for The Playtex MoonWalk 2009 sometime in October – so we hope to see you all again next year! In the meantime it's Edinburgh here we come as we start preparing to head north for The MoonWalk Edinburgh on June 14th !
