Take part in The SunWalk, in Battersea Park on 1st July 2012 and you will see Peppa Pig and George waving walkers off at the start-line for The SunWalk’s 5k and 10k walking challenges. They will also be appearing at intervals throughout the day.
Our daytime challenge for all the family will be held in Battersea Park (it's where The MoonWalk started!)
Take on a 5k, 10k or Half Marathon challenge. It’s a day for friends, family and everybody you know to do something wonderful together, not only will you be getting fitter, you will be making a real difference for vital breast cancer causes!
With our theme of the day being ‘Completely Tropical Experience’ there will be lots to keep you entertained!

So the SunWalk was my second walk it was quite different from the MoonWalk, but there was one thing in common, the great warm atmosphere of all those people that gave up their free time and endless energy to unite and fight against breast cancer from very young to very old, women and men, all doing something which is actually going to help someone. It was a wonderful and hot sunny day, we came to the 'village' in Battersea Park quite early to register and we had plenty of time to wander around and enjoy all the amazing attractions. Then the count down started and in no time we were on the road. All the walkers wearing their beautifully decorated bras just flooded the streets of London. There were loads of supporters and as we were walking during the day we met a lot of people all were very nice taking pictures and supporting the walkers. I really enjoyed it. And I must say that my huge admiration goes to the organisers and volunteers, as to make such a massive event so organised and without any problems it really requires great devotion and brilliant organisational skills!
To finish the SunWalk felt fantastic. I had been training the whole year, must say that not as much as last year, as I was getting married, moving house and redecorating a new one so not much free time, but all the training was worth it, also this is not a competition it is about charity so whatever your time is doesn't really matter, what is important is that you have done something that will help and that thought will keep you going even if you are at the end of your energy. And when you cross that line... you feel great :-)
I would sign up for another SunWalk and I would suggest it to everyone. It is something unforgettable and makes both your body and soul feel amazing :-)
