Can you spare some time to help us?

Were you unsuccessful in getting into one of our events but would still like to be part of the magic? Are your family and friends walking and you would like to give them support? Or perhaps you would just like to help? Then why not become a volunteer!

In 2008 thousands of women, men and children will be Power Walking through the streets with the united aim of raising millions of pounds for vital breast cancer causes.

We are looking for an army…an army of thousands…to help our walkers get through the day and night! Without the support of the thousands of volunteers that help us each year, the events simply could not happen. If you have a friend or member of the family entering one of this year’s events and you want to help, don’t wait in your car, join our band of hard working volunteers! So click on the challenge of your choice and see where you can help us.

P.S. With the lead-up to the events, we also need people to volunteer in the office . If you have a few hours free and want to help, the click on the "Help in the office" button and we will be in touch to get you started!

For further information on becoming a volunteer, please select the Walk the Walk challenge that you are interested in, or contact the Volunteer Team on 01483 741430, or at volunteers@walkthewalk.org.

Quote

" I was allocated the job of awarding the medals and found it to be, at times, a very moving experience. There were a lot of very brave ladies (and some men) like my wife taking on the unknown, often for very special and personal reasons. May I wish you good luck for the future and leave you with my thanks for allowing me to be part of the team. " Colin
