The SunWalk Newcastle

We need your help on Sunday 7th September.  Donate a few hours of your time and make a difference to 2,000 walkers uniting against breast cancer!  It’s going to be a great day of music and fun that the whole family can enjoy!

Where can you help?

We are looking for all sorts of willing people to do many different vital tasks.

Are you enthusiastic and energetic and able to support our walkers as they pound the pavements. Perhaps you find it easy to be patient and to encourage others? Come and spend the day in the sun … we need you as a marshal on our route either on foot or on a bike!

Do you know Newcastle well, or are you an advanced driver and have a clean driving licence? Then you could help drive our recovery vehicles!

Are you a qualified massage therapist and willing to offer massages to walkers (before and after their walks), their families and members of the public? Then we need your help as part of our ‘health awareness zone’.

Are you good at managing people? Then we need you to be a team leader!

We cannot guarantee specific jobs, but the more we know about you, the better for both of us - maybe you have talents that we could put to use on the day. Whatever yours skills - enthusiasm and a smile on your face are what we need most!

When can you help?

We need your help from 7 am to 5 pm however even if you have less time to help, let us know when you are available and we can find a job for you. It’s always fun to work with friends or family, so tell us if you’re coming with someone else and we’ll be sure that you are given a job together. Just a few hours of your time could make a huge difference to thousands.
