Becoming a volunteer is not to be missed!
Volunteering at the SunWalk Newcastle is an amazing challenge - we think you’ll find it fun and rewarding all at once! We need lots of volunteers to donate their time by marshalling around town, driving the support cars along three routes and helping at the SunWalk Village. We need trained massage therapists, cyclists, and anyone up for a great day out! As ever, a full volunteer kit will be provided. There will be live music on stage, entertainment and a great party for all the family. So volunteer, and take part in the fun!

How can you get involved?
We are looking for all sorts of people to do many different jobs, for example
Do you know Newcastle well, are over 25 and have a clean driving licence?
Then you could help by driving one of our 'Bra-mobile' recovery vehicles
Are you good at managing people?
We need team leaders.
Perhaps you find it easy to be patient and encourage others …
... and it’s easy for you to be enthusiastic and supportive when people need it most! Are you the right person? Then become a marshal on our route either on foot or on your bicycle.
Are you a qualified massage therapist?
Come along and donate your skills to give the walkers a warm up massage.
Do you have any friends/family/work colleagues who might like to join you as volunteers?
The more the merrier! You will see on the form on the next page that there is a section where you can mention each others names to ensure that you are allocated to the same team. We need lots of help - so please spread the word far and wide.
You will also see a section on the form where you can complete details of a walker that you may be travelling with - we use these details when allocating tasks to ensure that volunteers and walkers can meet up at the finish line.
