Walking Pals Story - A blind date!

Just thought I'd let you know how I got on this Sunday, with my new walking pals, Carol and Jane.  I felt like I was going on a blind date! Not one of us knew what we look liked let alone, age, fitness levels or marital status, it would be different meeting a bloke as you would definitely tell him you looked a bit like Kate Moss through 2 beer glasses!  So I had a mixture of excitement and dread "What if we didn't get on?"!  But my fears were over within seconds - really lovely ladies.  Before long we all found out we had kids, roughly the same age group and one common goal - 26.2 miles!!

After a 4 mile brisk walk we headed for the tea room and had a good old chat about when we could meet next, how we were going to tackle the training plan, reassured each other that we would together achieve the MoonWalk and suddenly the challenge looked less of an up hill battle!

Also today I have received an email from 4 girls who work in a local hairdressing salon  .....
