Briefing packs including details of your individual job and arrival times will be sent to you at the end of April. All volunteers are asked to check in to the Volunteer Tent in MoonWalk City in Hyde Park at a the times in their letters. Once you check in, you will find your team leader at one of the team meeting points outside the Volunteer Tent.
The event site is Hyde Park, London, and the nearest tubes stations are Marble Arch, Hyde Park Corner and Bond Street (in that order - MoonWalk City is in the north east of the park). For tube and bus details see the links below

Check the weather forecast before you set off to be prepared. It’s better to wear plenty of layers to be comfortable whatever the temperature. Remember that it can be cold at night especially when the weather is clear, and the early morning sunshine can be quite strong so don't forget your sun cream too.
All volunteers are given a t-shirt, cap and rain mac - all of these are in large sizes so that you can wear them over your own clothing. Please eat a proper meal before you arrive and we suggest that you bring some snacks to eat and a hot drink in a flask too if you are one of our route volunteers. Please bring your (fully charged) mobile phone if you have one.
Yes, the Volunteer Café will be in full swing throughout the night providing snacks and hot drinks free of charge. Please eat before you arrive though, and don’t forget to bring your own choice of snacks and hot drink with you (especially if you are a marshal on the route).
If you have told us that you are coming with a walker we have done our best to put you in a role that will allow you to be finished and back on site in time to meet your friends when they cross the finish line. Access to the Finish Line is limited to keep things moving, but you can meet near by.
Different roles finish at different times - route volunteers should consult their estimated walker times table for an idea of when the last walker is expected. Please let your team leader know if you need to leave your position at any time and remember that it's hard to be precise about walker times. Our volunteers out on the route will be returned to MoonWalk City in one of our official vehicles once their route section closes.
