A Marathon 26.2 miles.

When is it?

20th - 25th June 2024

Hotel and Travel

There is a choice of 2 packages:

Full Package - including international and domestic flights or

Ground Only - international and domestic flights are NOT included (limited numbers - please contact [email protected]).

Once we land in Iceland we will head to the North East to Lake Myvatn, where we will stay in a lakeside Hotel for 4 nights. For the final night, we will head back to the Icelandic Capital Reykjavik, staying in a city centre Hotel. Read more...

Full Package: International flights depart from London Heathrow - flight times will be confirmed shortly. 

Ground Only Package: Meet the Team at Keflavik International Airport on Thursday 20th June 2024 - time to be confirmed. Our team will advise you with regards to the domestic flight you will need to book separately.

Day 1 - Travel London Heathrow - Reykjavik - Akureyri... arriving at our lovely accommodation by the stunning Lake Myvatn in the evening.

Day 2 - Sightseeing - whale watching, climbing up a volcano, visiting boiling mud pools... and more!

Day 3 - Sightseeing and MoonWalk time :) - the most powerful waterfall in Europe, the Asbyrgi Canyon and Jokulsa River; later getting ready for your unique midnight marathon challenge, The MoonWalk Iceland!

Day 4 - Finish Line and Celebrations! A well deserved massage (optional extra) and a soak at the local Nature Baths... Followed by rest, celebration Afternoon Tea and dinner later... time to celebrate your amazing achievement!

Day 5 - Reykjavik - Leaving this beautiful haven behind, but more adventure awaits... flight to Reykjavik and a chance for you to explore the capital - free time OR you can book on an extra excursion if you are up for it (optional extra).

Day 6 - Blue Lagoon and Travel Home - A wonderful soak in the famous Blue Lagoon before our flight back to the UK.

There are a choice of rooms for this Challenge:

What is included in the tour costs?

A lot - nearly everything!

5 nights' accommodation in Lake Myvatn and Reykjavik City Centre, all international and domestic flights, all food as per the itinerary including a celebration Afternoon Tea, entry to the Blue Lagoon, Whale Watching, climbing a Volcano, Waterfalls, mud pool, canyons and so much more. All tours are inclusive of local guides too, we really do explore all that Iceland has to offer! Walk the Walk has been leading a Team to take on The MoonWalk Iceland for over 10 years, so we know exactly what you have to do! A 12 week Training Plan will be sent out with your Welcome Walker Pack. Throughout your journey and leading up to your Challenge, the Events Team will be supporting you every step of the way, with top tips on how to reach the Finish Line in Iceland!
