Edinburgh Lights up Pink for our 2023 MoonWalkers and Volunteers!

Walk the Walk is thrilled that buildings and landmarks across Edinburgh will be glowing pink through the night, to support our amazing Walkers and Volunteers at The MoonWalk Scotland!

Look out for the following landmarks, lit up in their pink splendour, as they give you a fantastic, warm, pink hug:-

• Edinburgh Castle
• Camera Obscura  
• Lloyds on the Mound  
• Royal Society Edinburgh (RSE)
• Victoria Quay, Leith    
• Radisson Blu Hotel  
• St Andrew’s House 
• Prestonfield House Hotel  
• Edinburgh International Conference Centre

We’re very excited that Scottish Government buildings St Andrew’s House (just below Calton Hill) and Victoria Quay in Leith are lighting up pink this year, thanks to Christina McKelvie MSP. Christina took part in The MoonWalk Scotland herself last year with Team Holyboobs, having been treated for breast cancer herself.

Christina commented:

“I am delighted to see The MoonWalk back again this year – and even more delighted that the Scottish Government buildings will be lighting up pink on the night of The MoonWalk in support! Last year I led the cross-party “Team Holyboobs’” on the fundraising walk and everyone involved had a wonderful buzz, while raising money for an amazing cause. I strongly encourage anyone who is looking for a good cause to get involved in, to help promote and take part in The MoonWalk. The event helps support Walk the Walk, who do so much incredible work to help improve the lives of those who have cancer now. It’s great to be able to help raise funding and awareness for them.”
